Uses Part sales, benchmarking, market research, vehicle acquisition costs and commodity history to:

  • Analyze, develop and execute a methodology to help PNP better understand and leverage our customer segments, our product-mix/line profitability and the associated marketing efforts. Will require a collaborative approach with Sales Operations (including POS Administrative team), Marketing and Vehicle Procurement teams. Results will drive new marketing strategies, improve customer relationships, and increase overall sales/profitability.
  • Customer characteristics, buying patterns, geographical trends, price sensitivity/needs, etc
  • Optimization of product/inventory mix in each of the facilities based on local market demand data
  • Familiar with AI analytics to optimize pricing.
  • Media analysis for optimization of campaigns
  • Conduct competitive pricing research, build and maintain a corporate competitive analysis database and senior management competitive report, which will include key competitive variables for each of the markets the company currently operates in or plans to expand into.
  • This database will enable senior management to understand thoroughly the competitive dynamics in each market, how APB prices compare to local competition, and how APB fits into the competitive landscape.
  • Analyze, recommend and manage data/software required for accurate and timely decision support for the business.
  • Generate ad hoc and recurring reports/dashboards for Sales, Marketing, Operations, Vehicle Purchasing and FP&A
  • Drive process improvement through new analytic approaches and creative thinking
  • Assist in development and execution of strategy for marketing campaigns and is responsible for data extraction, list or lead generation, or evaluating effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
  • Knowledge of traditional, digital, social and DTC media analysis metrics.
  • Execute the PNP pricing strategy, including the periodic review and update of product prices.
  • Executes requested changes and recommends changes to current pricing based on market research, profitability analysis, modeling, trends and overall strategic direction of the company.
  • Understand price elasticity by product and category which will enable the company to make effective and profit maximizing pricing decisions.
  • Support growth activities via researching and providing pricing recommendations for new and existing markets.
  • Provide best practice research solutions and deliver clear and insightful summaries of business performance
  • Special projects - participate in Process Improvement Team initiatives and special projects and fiscal year marketing planning.
  • Maintains supportive relationships with other PNP team members, Store Managers and employees
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Experience

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or comparable experience in Marketing, Research, Finance or closely related field
  • 4+ years of experience in Strategic Retail Marketing and/or Pricing position
  • Retail automotive pricing and/or operations experience
  • Balanced combination of strategic and analytical skills; but must possess strong analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills
  • Proven track record for developing, implementing and managing a variety of successful retail research or competitive analysis projects
  • Knowledge of auto parts industry, automotive repair or automotive aftermarket a plus
  • Advanced Excel, Advanced Access, Crystal Reporting mandatory
  • Must be available to travel up to 25%
