Job Description

PICK-n-PULL Auto Dismantlers is a self-service auto dismantling and recycling company, now with 60+ LOCATIONS throughout the U.S. and Canada, which is focused on consolidating the highly fragmented recycled auto parts market. Develops and delivers engaging, impactful learning solutions in classroom, field and electronic environments assisting managers and employees to achieve specific learning objectives on operations management processes and procedures with focus on the technical aspects of running a site. Will and assist with design, development and maintenance of the training programs.

Essential Functions:

  • Design, develop and maintain training materials aligned with the organization’s priorities and needs.
  • Facilitate training for management and employees to teach and demonstrated processes and procedures related to site operations in large or small group settings as required
  • Teach and demonstrate processes and procedures related to site operations management
  • Learn operations management and Ops Management software systems in order to teach others and run appropriate reports for performance assessments
  • Coach trainees as appropriate during the learning cycle
  • Oversee the set up and maintenance of training programs, manuals, job aids and supporting documents
  • Learning Management System administration tasks to assign, distribute and track training activities and to prepare reports
  • Administers course assessments to evaluate effectiveness of training to achieve course objectives
  • Assist in assessing performance of managers and employees to determine need for additional training
  • Consults with Operations Manager on a regular basis to assess effectiveness of current training programs used
  • Facilitate “Train-the-Trainer” sessions

Marginal Functions:

  • Assist in recruitment of Ops Management personnel
  • Attend industry functions as directed
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Skills

Physical Activities Required to Perform Essential Functions:

Ability to lift and carry up to 10 pounds; sit for extended periods of time and/or stand on feet in store locations for up to 6-8 hours per day; keyboard and use a computer for extended periods of time, up to 6 hours per day; communicate in writing, by phone and in person in a businesslike, professional manner; be mobile within an office setting; assemble papers, paper punch, staple, file, photocopy; apply sufficient force to open and close file drawers. Visual acuity is necessary to perform close detail work for preparation and proofreading of business documents and correspondence as well as operating a computer terminal.

Job Conditions:

  • Heavy Travel Must be able to travel by car and plane up to 3-4 days per week, including travel to Canada
  • Flexible schedule could include weekend days to accommodate typical manager schedule
Required Experience


Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field preferred with 3 years of experience in executing hands-on training and developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating training programs. This position requires excellent training, presentation, writing and communication skills. Incumbent is expected to work independently as well as with a team as necessary. Must be proficient using the Microsoft office suite. Past automotive education, field retail, or sales experience is desired and bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
