We are currently looking for a rock-star, HR Intern to assist with employee centered projects and initiatives for Summer 2018. The ideal candidate will possess the skills to interact with various team members while remaining poised and professional in all aspects of the position. The HR Intern will be providing support and gaining expert insight from the Senior Human Resources Business Partner while managing all task and duties as assigned. This is a rare opportunity to join our fun, casual, and passionate HR team at Schnitzer Steel.

The program lasts for approximately 8 to 10 weeks and is offered at the Atlanta, GA Regional Headquarters.  This is a part-time position with anticipated work load of 20-30 hours per week.

Intermediate Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access and Publisher

Excellent follow up skills and file organization

Demonstrate an appreciation for multi-tasking

Ability to deal with confidential information and situations

Required Experience

Academic degree (completed or in progress) related to human resources, business, psychology or related fields.
