Job Description

  • Ability to operate the office equipment necessary to perform the duties of this position such as a PC, fax machine, multi-line phone system, copier and 10-key.
  • Working knowledge of and skill in using all Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Ability to perform basic clerical duties such as filing, faxing, photocopying and typing.
  • Must possess strong attention to detail, ability to prioritize work assignments and to manage multiple priorities.


  • Continually: Maintains office supplies and equipment and orders additional supplies when needed.
  • Continually: Maintains and runs various reports and records at week end and month end for the rolling mill area. Makes copies and routes via interoffice mail to the appropriate department or individual.
  • Continually: Monitors and logs employee requests for time off, vacations and call-offs. Files related paperwork.
  • Continually: Monitors e-time to ensure accurate time keeping.
  • Frequently: Provides general assistance to rolling mill management and employees as needed.
  • Continually: Provides clerical support for the rolling mill area including typing copying, filing, faxing, mailing, data entry and taking/distributing messages.
  • Occasionally: Maintains the appearance and cleanliness of the office as needed.
Required Skills



  • Talking in Person/By Telephone: Continually. To explain procedures, gather information, give directions. Ability to communicate with individuals of varying English speaking/understanding ability. Ability to communicate in either an office environment or on occasion, in a loud mill environment.
  • Hearing: Continually. To listen, in person and over the phone, and to understand.
  • Vision: Continually. To read and view computer monitor, data and figures and text.



Work is primarily performed indoors, in an office environment and is sedentary in nature. It may occasionally require the ability to exert force or to push/pull up to 20 pounds, and/or to lift/carry up to 10 pounds. A worker in this position will be subject to indoor environmental conditions, however, there will be occasions when they may need to enter the mill, where they will be exposed to outdoor and/or plant conditions. PPE is required and will be provided when this is the case.


High school diploma or GED. 2+ years of relevant office experience.

Required Experience

All U.S. applicants must be 18 years of age or older and all Canada applicants must be 16 years of age or older.
